FROM THE DECK...All you see is nature at its best!
Rushing Creek, Lush Forest and Abundant Wildlife. The absolute very best that Western North Carolina has to offer. Built for four season living, this recently completed Arts and Crafts Estate Home comfortably accommodates nine guests and is equipped with radiant heat, home telephone intercom system, and all the modern conveniences you would expect in a luxury home. Waterfalls Mountain Lodge has two interconnected but separable living levels. The home is wheelchair accessible, pet friendly and has high speed DSL Internet access.
The Third level loft is a childs dream with 2 twin beds, games and many toys to choose from. The Main level has a beautiful kitchen which is fully equipped with the best appliances and cookware. To the right of the kitchen is a dining table that seats 8 guests while looking out the ceiling to floor Anderson windows that allow the breathtaking views of the waterfalls from anywhere in the home. The main level also has an open living room with a gas log fireplace and flatscreen television. A King Size 'Select Comfort' bed completes this main level with a large bathroom with seperate shower. The lower level has an additional Living Room, Kitchen and another large Queen size bedroom and bathroom. For those extra guests the bottom level also has 2 Twin beds.
The house was built into the side of the mountain next to an old swimming hole in Cattail Creek and is designed so each room of the house has floor to ceiling windows oriented to the cascading creek, waterfalls, trout ponds and mountain woodland. Over forty beautifully framed art paintings makes you feel like you are living in an art gallery. Located on three acres of private forest land, the grounds feature garden paths, rock gardens, water gardens, rhododendrons and mountain laurel. Hiking trails begin at your front door and fishing begins from the Lodge's back porch.
